How can I get a fair book?
You can pick up a fair book at the Fair Office or here.
How much are ride bands?
- $15.00 for one (1) 4-hour session (Increases to $20.00 week of fair)
- $80.00 for one (1) Mega band which includes all sessions, all week.
Ride bands can be purchased at the Fair office. Bring cash or a check to avoid credit card processing fees. Midway opens daily at 10:00 am.
How do I get tickets for Grandstand events?
Tickets are available in the fair office or you can buy them online through our website. Visit our Admissions page to get your tickets. Tickets to Girl Named Tom can be purchased at www.vanwertlive.com
What kind of food will be there?
We could go on and on! Prepare yourself for delicious fair food like fries, funnel cakes, lemon shakeups, hot dogs, burgers, bbq, ice cream and more! Follow our Facebook page during Fair week to see what is on the grounds.
What gate do I use to enter the grounds?
- Everyday: Gate 2 (Across from the Shell Gas Station on SR 127)
- During Fair: General Admission: Gate 1 and 5
- Fair Exhibitor: (Permit Parking Only) Gate 4

How can I volunteer?
We love your volunteer spirit and likely have a job just perfect for you! Stop in at the Fair Office and ask us about opportunities available or fill out the form and we will get back to you. Please note that there may be communication delays Mid August through Mid September due to Fair responsibilities.
How do I become a fair board member?
You can buy a membership! You will stop in the Fair Office for a petition. We will share what township is up for term. This is open to all Van Wert County residents.
How do I get a season pass?
We’d love to get you a season pass! Stop in and see us and we’ll get you squared away. Or visit our Admissions page to buy one online.
What are the benefits of buying a membership?
Not only do you get into the fair every day, but you also get voting rights as a member *must be a Van Wert County resident. Be sure to ask us when you stop at the Fair Office.
