Junior Fair Building Restoration Project

In 2024, The Van Wert County Agricultural Society was granted $35,000 in funds from the Cooper Family Foundation to distribute towards the Swine Barn Project.

In 2023, $50,000 was granted by the Cooper Family Foundation for continued improvements of the Junior Fair Building. Funds were also distributed to the bathroom renovation project to make the women’s restroom truly ADA compliant and to increase restroom capacity and add storage.

In 2022, The Van Wert County Agricultural Society was awarded $50,000 in grant funds from the Cooper Family Foundation for concrete work on the outside of the building including sidewalks, pad under canopy, and a loading dock on the south end of the facility.

Multiple Projects

We are continually grateful for the support provided by The Van Wert County Foundation. The Foundation is invested in improving the quality of life for Van Wert County as a whole and has donated to the Van Wert County Agricultural in specific ways, which allows us to bring you a better fair experience year over year.

2023 – $53,125

Fall Grant Cycle totaling $16,375 from the John D. and Nellie S. Ault Memorial Fund. $8,000 designated for the LED Sign @ Gate 2 and $8,375 for 2024 Marketing Management. 

Spring Grant Cycle John D. and Nellie S. Ault Memorial Fund of $16,750 for 2023 Marketing Management and $20,000 for restroom renovations.

2021 – $25,000

Lee R. and Nellie Bonnewitz and Alice B. Andersen Memorial Fund used for tree repopulation.

2019 – $25,000

Lee R and Nellie Bonnewitz and Alice B. Andersen Memorial Fund used for tree repopulation.

2022 – $25,000

John D. and Nellie S. Ault Memorial Fund for Marketing Contractor Outsourcing.

2020 – $30,000
