Project Scope
The Van Wert County Agricultural Society is asking for support funding to install two (2) decorative and informative LED displays at our main entrance (Gate 2) – one facing north, and one facing south.
These lighted displays would be used to communicate and advertise events and opportunities available at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds including but not limited to; marketing 15+ events to the general public, opportunities for food and retail vendors, deadlines for forms and/or ticket sales, directional information, fundraising, sponsor recognition, announcements, etc. The signage would also allow us to communicate important updates regarding 4H, Junior Fair and the OSU extension office. Supporting businesses will have the opportunity to display their logo in emblem form, mounted on the sign.
In mid 2023, the Van Wert County Rotarians had selected this project to be the benefactor of the funds raised during their Rotary Auction. November 11, 2023 the Rotary Auction was held in the Junior Fair Building on the Fairgrounds and the group raised $25,783.42 towards this project.

2023 Auction Project
The Van Wert Agricultural Society is planning to construct a large double sided sign with LED displays at the main entrance to the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Thousands of vehicles pass our Fairgrounds every day along South Washington Street. This sign will help promote the dozens of events that take place on the Fairgrounds throughout the year, advertising to both locals and visitors alike.

You are invited to attend our Rotary Fairground Tailgate & Auction, our annual dinner & charity auction of the Van Wert Rotary Club. The event will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Junior Fair Building on the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. Tailgate begins at 5:00 pm; dinner at 6:00 pm, with auction to follow.
The success of this event is a result of the community members who attend and participate in the dinner & auction. Please contact Rotarians Mark Verville (410-238-4390) or Aaron Anspach (419-238-6214) to purchase tickets for this special dinner & auction event.
